Electronic Signature Disclosure
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This disclosure is shown to anyone asked to sign a document electronically through Proposal Writer AI.
What agreeing means
By checking the consent box in the signing flow, you agree to conduct this transaction electronically and to adopt your electronic signature (drawn or typed) as the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature for the document being signed.
How your signature is recorded
We record your asserted name and email, the date and time of each action, your IP address and device information, and the fields you complete. When signing finishes, the document is locked as a PDF, a SHA-256 checksum is computed, and a completion certificate containing the audit trail is issued to all parties.
Your options
- You may decline to sign electronically. Use the Decline link on the proposal, or contact the sender directly to arrange a paper signature.
- You'll receive a copy. The completed, signed PDF and its certificate are emailed to you at completion; keep them for your records.
- Hardware/software needed: a current web browser with JavaScript and the ability to receive email. Signing works on phones, tablets, and computers.
Scope
Proposal Writer AI provides the signing technology; we are not a party to the agreement between sender and signer and do not guarantee the enforceability of any particular document, which depends on its contents and applicable law. Questions about the document belong to the sender; questions about the technology: penpals@proposalwriterai.com.
